Australian shepherds are medium-sized dogs with a solid build and low center of gravity. They are about 18 to 23 inches in height, and weigh from about 40 to 60 pounds (18 to 27 kilograms). Males generally are taller and heavier than females. Aussies live about 10 to 12 years.
"Dave" is a good name for a working dog. He looks very intelligent.
ReplyDeleteMy brother has an Australian Cow Herder, I think he called him - similar eyes as Dave and like yours, very intelligent. Playful, kind, excitable, howls when he sees me because he knows he's getting a LONG walk. Sweet baby. At first he would nip everyone's heels - glad he was trained out of that!
