Misty - Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie |
The Shetland Sheepdog, also known as the Sheltie, is an extremely intelligent, quick, and obedient herder from Scotland's remote and rugged Shetland Islands.. When feed was in short supply on the farms, the original Shelties were ferried on to small outlying islands with a flock of sheep and left for long periods to guard the flock and fend for themselves. Only the hardy would have been able to survive. When brought back to the farms after such isolation, the dogs would thrive on attention and affection. It is probably this part of their history that makes them so devoted to their owners, but suspicious of intruders and intent on protecting the family.

Most Yorkshire Terriers are alert, active, and inquisitive. They can be determined but are also faithful and loyal to their adoptive family. They thrive on human companionship and will happily allow themselves to be included in family activities. They make for good watchdogs too and will bark if strangers visit their home. Although small, dogs from this breed are robust and healthy animals.

The Neva Masquerade cat certainly attracts attention! As the point variation on the Siberian cat, this breed's original appearance causes a stir: long, thick fur with a crown and ear tufts, a muscular body and bushy tail give the Neva Masquerade the appearance of a mini wildcat.
